The Secret Alchemy of Love: Four Codes of Reciprocity

The Secret Alchemy of Love: Four Codes of Reciprocity

episode 2

Welcome to the podcast series "Family Without Tricks!" In the introduction, we discussed how the First Commandment of God's Law expresses a universal principle that perfectly fits the relationship between a man and a woman who wish to build a family, namely, the principle of mutual belonging. In the Song of Solomon, the beloved bride boldly declares, "My beloved is mine, and I am his." And in his lofty speech, Adam, upon first seeing his newly created wife, declared that from now on, this would be the way of spouses – they must cling to each other and become one flesh.

The process of bonding would be simple and natural if it took place in a sinless environment, where it was originally established. We mentioned this in the first episode of our podcast. But because of the fall into sin, things became much more complicated, with the emergence of selfishness, envy, and other side effects. Therefore, there is a wise need to understand how love continues to exist in a sinful world, still giving people happiness and the most amazing feelings. How can it be developed and preserved? This is the question of our entire series. But today, we will focus on what love really is and its components to better understand this magical feeling that brings so much joy and no less sorrow to people.
